AMR Courses – Responsible use of Antimicrobials on Beef and Sheep Farms

Date Posted: 31st May 2021

Face-to-face courses are back!

Responsible Use of Antimicrobials on Beef & Sheep Farms workshops will be available again at local venues from Thursday 10th June.

This course has only been available as an online webinar since October last year due to Covid-19 restrictions on meetings. The online version of the course has proven very popular, with 50% of the 5,000 people completing the course to date doing so online. The online webinars will continue to be available, but they don’t suit everyone.

With the recent announcement by the NI Executive easing restrictions on the use of indoor venues we are now able to offer the face-to-face workshops again at local venues.

The workshops and online webinars are being delivered by the same team of vets and will help you comply with Standard 2.3 of the NI Beef & Lamb FQAS standards.

Pre-enrolment at these courses is essential as numbers at the workshops are restricted to allow appropriate social distancing. Hygiene precautions will also be in place.

AI Services have arranged a series of dates for both local meetings and online webinars for June and the full list of workshops can be found on the CAFRE website.

Details on how to enrol on a workshop are also on the website. If you are unable to enrol through the CAFRE online booking system you can contact AI Services 028 9083 3123 or e-mail amr@ai-services.co.uk

This course is delivered under the Farm Family Key Skills (FFKS) programme and is part of the Farm Business Improvement Scheme, part funded by the EU under the Rural Development Programme 2014-2020.
